Raise - Discounted Gift Cards App Reviews

I purchased so many times at Raise and LOTS of cards I purchased were INVALID. I had several I couldnt use within guarantee periods. They were expensive cards and they refused to refund not even $1. DO NOT BUY FROM RAISE!! YOU WILL LOOSE MONEY INSTEAD OF SAVING.

Ive been using Raise for about a little over a year and the user experience with their app has gotten progressively better with each version release. I DO NOT recommend doing business with Raise, though, because you could lose your money after a gift card purchase. Ive had at least four experiences where Ive gone to pay for a purchase with my gift cards (both electronic and physical card versions) and the gift card is declined. I call Raise customer service, they look into it, and until my latest issue, theyve refunded my money back entirely. They have a 100 day money-back guarantee so long as you use your gift card within those first 100 days. Thats convenient if youre using a gift card right away, but many cards arent always available for purchase when you want them, so if you stock up gift cards for later use, they may not work as they may be deactivated. Use Raise at your own risk! All the money you are "saving" might be wiped out from a gift card you purchased but were unable to get a refund back for after its been deactivated--not to mention the embarrassment of the card not working at a point of sale.

A refund for cards with less value than advertised or zero balance takes much longer than the 48 hours promised & is a struggle getting a full refund or answers. Ive saved money on cards that work, but the man hours Ive put in on recouping money lost totals a net loss using this app & the companys services.

Overall, Ive had a great experience with all aspects of Raise. Ive bought a few giftcards and always saved money. Its important to remember Raise is a marketplace and as long as they refund you if the card is lower than expected or have no value at all (usually only in-store cards), you should be happy.

Scam., scam raise is taking out money if more than 100 days.. Dont use raise.. I lost 250 dollars not a small amount...

Customer service could use some attention. Nothing like making the customer feel like there in the wrong because they didnt do their job.

Been using them for a few months , and havent had a problem yet.

I got a Lowes card with big amount which I can not use all in a short time. One day when I shop in the store. My e-gift is gone and a notification states shipped. I have no idea whats going on. Called Raise and the agent told me Lowes changed the policy. I need to have physical card. They will contact with the seller and have the card ship to me. However, its already over 100days. They only ask seller to keep it for certain days. Also, the purchase is over money back guarantee. They cant help. There are several calls and emails back and forward. After that, I never get further update and the seller, of course, never ship anything to me. Im angry that Raise never send out a notice to tell user your egift will be expired or invalid or requests the seller to ship the card until there is a problem. Raise and seller saved postage and it turns out I lose a lot more. The original purchase history states the gift card will never expired. This is not true when the policy changed. I lost all my balance in the card. In the whole time, I actually lost more than saved because of that. I also kept the original purchase history in PDFs. I can not even see the same statement on my account now. They just change it without letting you know. Stay away from it.

I just starting using was very excited but had an embarrassing time at a store when the 200$ card I purchased showed no balance. Later tried in the on line store and it worked. Good to hear the problems w keeping cards, I was planning on starting now for holidays but not now! Dont want to work w nasty costumer service! Thanks for the heads up!

Since the latest update Ive not been able to get into the app. It shows that its waiting but Im not able to do anything. It just sits there, Ive tried deleting the app but it will not disappear after deletion. Useless app stuck on my phone because of crappy updates.

I am loving this site and their app makes it even easier to get great deals at nice discounts. You can even get some gift cards on the fly with their voucher deals.

The app is beneficial with a grain of salt. However, make sure you read if the gift card if its online or mailed, that can be annoying at times. The biggest down fall I would say, check your gift card right away for balance. At times the gc can be a zero balance, and after 100 days the company will not help! Beware of scammers, purchase and use right away! I purchased a $250 GC for Jcp, when I went to use it, the cashier said it had $0. I called and spoke to Conner in Ohio, he was the worst "manager" you can ever deal with, he stated that since it was 100 days old there was nothing he can do, best he can do is give me a $15 credit for the problem, hmmm doesnt make sense, I told him I was going to write a review and inform everyone to be aware of scammers, and such headaches. He told me that if I wrote a bad review he was going to take away the $15 credit that he was posting on my account. The company has the worst customer service ever!

I purchased an apple Gift Card and when I went to redeem the card it said the card was not activated properly. I emailed raise the same day, no response. I waited about five more days and emailed again. Still no response. Do not purchase from raise unless you want to lose your money!

Its great for food and personal purchase that you can get at target, walmart or Walgreens there are so many stores to buy from. Raise isnt as good as it used to be you used to be able to sell your gift cards using your debit card and you cant even do that anymore without them asking for a credit card I wish they wouldve kept it someone what the same so I could still sell my gift cards
